April Schmoozer 2016

We invite you to join us for our April Schmoozer on Thursday, April 21st from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Del Frisco's Grille in the Irvine Spectrum. April is National Library Month, and this month we are partnering with Newport / Mesa ProLiteracy, a program of the Newport Beach Public Library! To help support our charity partner's mission to develop the literacy skills of adults to empower them to achieve greater success in their lives, we are asking our attendees to bring workbooks from the "What is . . . ?" / "What are . . . ?" series or cash donations. You can find these workbooks on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble located in the Irvine Spectrum!

So far this year, we have raised over $500 in cash, over $700 in gift cards and have collected over 2,000 items for our partner charities! We couldn't continue to make such positive impacts in our community without our members and attendees, so thank you! Help us keep this momentum going by inviting your friends and colleagues to attend our April Schmoozer to benefit adult literacy!

Newport/Mesa ProLiteracy is a program of the Newport Beach Public Library which provides free literacy instruction to adults who live or work in the Newport Beach area. Their dedicated volunteers have helped hundreds of people improve their English skills. In doing so, these volunteers have helped change lives. Literacy is a concern for everyone in our community as it affects not only the learner, but employers, healthcare providers, schools and more.

We are asking attendees to please bring books from the "What is . . . ?" / "What are . . . ?" series to support Newport / Mesa ProLiteracy. You can find these books on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble, conveniently located in the Irvine Spectrum!
