We invite you to join us on Wednesday, May 11th for an Educational Schmoozer at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave. Newport Beach, CA 92660 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Drinks and appetizers will be served. 

In support of our partner charity, The Newport Beach Public Library Foundationwe ask all attendees to please consider becoming a member of the Foundation. Your membership will fuel the programs and resources that support education and culture in our community. 
The Young Patron membership is only $35 and includes:

- Two free tickets to all programs the Foundation hosts throughout the year
- A tote bag (given to those that sign-up at this event)
- A leather writing pen (given to those that sign-up at this event)
- Advance notice about special Foundation programs
- Subscription to The Bookmark, the Foundation's quarterly publication
- A signed copy of Jessica Knoll's Luckiest Girl Alive, for the first twenty membership applications turned in at the event

Year of the Entrepreneur

2016 is the "Year of the Entrepreneur." This is about doing what's best for you, taking control of your career and creating new opportunities that didn't exist before.  All of our members are doing big things: achieving huge goals, positively impacting the community in many different ways, innovating new lines of business and are at the forefront of what the future holds. At the Elite OC, we're proud to cultivate an entrepreneurial environment and want to celebrate our members' and supporters' entrepreneurial spirits! 


About the Event
This month’s event will focus on personal branding and thriving as a millennial in today's market.
Just like a company, you have your own personal brand. You decide how to brand yourself, which dictates who you will be relevant to and why. Your identity and brand, both personally and in the workplace, are crucial to your success. Moreover, it's important to understand the challenges that can stand in the way of your success and to learn the skills necessary for achieving greatness. the speakers will discuss topics like:

- What is branding and how does it apply to individuals?
- How can you build a strong personal brand?
- What skills are necessary for achieving greatness at work?
- How can millennials thrive alongside baby boomers in the workplace?
- Key skills that will help you become more valuable and advance your career.


Meet the Speakers

Our guest speaker is Dr. Chip Espinoza, co-author of "Millennials@Work: The 7 Skills Every Twenty-Something Needs to Overcome Roadblocks and Achieve Greatness At Workand "Managing the Millennials: Discover the Core Competencies for Managing Today’s Workforce." He is also Academic Director of the Organizational Psychology program at Concordia University Irvine

Chip keynotes internationally and across the country on how to create an environment in which managers and Millennials thrive. Chip is a leading expert on the subject of generational diversity in the workplace. He consults in the civic, corporate, and non-profit sectors. His client list features great organizations like The Boeing Company, Microsoft, Schneider Electric, and Special Olympics.

Chip has authored several articles on the subject of leadership and is the go-to person for news agencies on the topic of integrating younger workers into the workforce. He is a content expert for CNN on the subject of Millennials in the workplace. He has also been featured on Fox News, CBS Radio, and in major publications. Chip was recently named a top 15 Global Thought Leader on the Future of Work by the Economic Times.

Our second speaker is Stacey Kaszton Jones, President of La Voz Marketing and Co-Founder of the Elite OC. Stacey leads a full-service branding and marketing agency that has achieved breakthrough success for its clients such as Incipio, ARTIC, Panasonic, Verizon Wireless, Lincoln Property Company, Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina, Sundita, Nestle, Downtown Santa Ana, Signature Resources, among others.

Stacey is an expert in branding and has led many of her clients through the branding / re-branding process. She has spoken on branding and marketing for California State University of Fullerton Incubator, Leadership Tomorrow, and various professional and media organizations.

The Newport Beach Public Library Foundation was established in 1989 as a collaborative public-private partnership with the city of Newport Beach, California. The Foundation funds valuable library resources and programs –– engaging the community in cultural and intellectual adventure through the sponsorship of diverse public programs and cutting-edge library enhancements. Aside from funding the library's Media Lab, the Foundation also funds plenty of educational community programs, such as the Witte Lectures and Library Live series, the monthly Medicine in Our Backyard, book discussion groups, financial workshops, and children's events and programs.

The Foundation relies on its members' support to fund the programs at the library that support education and culture in our community.
