Grant Van Cleve

Grant is a global entrepreneur, angel investor, and business accelerator. He is listed among the 50 most influential people in Orange County. Grant is involved in 59 start-ups, serving as a board member or advisor in a quarter of those. He is an active leader in the Tech Coast Angels – America’s most active angel investing group. He was President of their Orange County chapter and is now Vice Chairman of the whole network. He is also part of Wharton Angels and is an Expert-in-Residence at UC Irvine.

One of the companies in which Grant is active, Buy It Installed, Inc., convinced Grant to move from Chairman to CEO. The Irvine based company has 70 employees. Buy It Installed uses artificial empathy to automate the installed-sales process, allowing manufacturer or retailer to bundle national installation at the point of sale.

Shawn Dougherty

Shawn Dougherty is a trailblazer. With her innovative talent and creativity, she co-founded Mophie, the #1 selling battery case manufacturer for mobile devices in North America. With Shawn as COO and founder, Mophie created the first juice pack battery case for the first generation iPhone in North America and built an exclusive partnership with Apple. The company grew from a small start-up out of her Michigan home using a barn as the warehouse to a 5-facility global entity with $250M in revenue, 300+ employees, and offices in Michigan, California, China, Hong Kong and Amsterdam. As a leader, she has established longstanding relationships with national and global retail partnerships and collaborations with top industry icons including Apple, Amazon, Verizon, AT&T, Best Buy, Product Red, Valentino, and Supreme. Shawn is passionate about developing products. Prior to Mophie, she led products development for several notable tech-based companies, including Directed Electronics where she led the outsourcing of the entire audio line to Asia, Orion, ADST and Stryker.

Anderee Berengian

Anderee Berengian is the CEO of Cie Digital Labs, an accelerator of innovation for larger enterprises and a growth accelerator for emerging startups. Most recently, he has been awarded the 2018 Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence In Entrepreneurship Awards. Anderee has led CDL’s mission to create leading-edge digital solutions, serving as an innovation lab for prominent brands, and a platform to develop ideas into technology ventures. CDL’s client roster includes industries across retail, consumer products, automotive and transportation. Anderee also gives back to his community by serving as a board member at Discovery Cube and Human Options and is a mentor at TechStars and Founder’s Institute.
