Please join us on Thursday, September 16th from 6-8pm for in-person networking at The Country Club. While this event is free to members & non-members alike, we ask that you consider giving back to this month's charity partner: Orange County Foundation for Oncology Children and Families (OCF-OCF) with a monetary donation that will go toward sending kids to camp!

Born out of necessity in 1982, OCF-OCF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-run organization providing year-round recreational and social activities designed to foster supportive relationships for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

As the leading organization in Orange County for pediatric cancer patients and their families, OCF-OCF turns fear and isolation into support, friendship, and hope. We fortify the family through year-round free activities, including our “World’s Greatest Camp” and “World’s Coolest Camp.”

Each year in Orange County over 100 children are newly diagnosed with some form of cancer. Combined with children already undergoing treatment, hundreds of families share a common challenge as they are all dealing with stresses that are unimaginable to people who have never been touched by childhood cancer. Medical, financial, emotional, and social hardships can be overwhelming for patients, parents and siblings during treatment. With this in mind, OCF-OCF provides support activities, free of charge, to pediatric cancer patients and their families who live or receive treatment in Orange County.

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Roger Perez, who has been a volunteer for OCF-OCF for over 23 years. He currently serves as the Executive Director of OCF-OCF, and also volunteers as a camp counselor. In addition to his volunteer work, Dr. Perez’s clinical work and research as a pediatric neuropsychologist has focused extensively on childhood cancers and pediatric brain tumors.
